Please read this Refund & Cancellation Policy carefully before submitting an admission form or making any fee payment to PathBhaban.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to all fee payments made to PathBhaban (operated by Pathbhaban Charitable Trust, Reg. No. IV-170400025/2025), including admission fees, monthly tuition fees, hostel charges, examination fees, and any other charges levied by the institution.
2. Admission Fee
The one-time Admission Fee paid at the time of securing a seat is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal before commencement of classes, transfer to another institution, or failure to obtain required documents. This fee covers administrative processing, seat reservation, and initial assessment costs.
3. Monthly Tuition Fee
- Monthly fees must be paid by the 10th of each month.
- A late fee of ₹100 will be charged after the 15th of the month.
- Fees paid in advance for future months will be refunded pro-rata, after deducting a processing charge of ₹200, provided a written withdrawal request is submitted with a minimum of one calendar month's notice.
- No refund will be made for the current running month at the time of withdrawal.
- Outstanding fee dues will not be waived upon withdrawal; the full outstanding amount must be cleared before a Transfer Certificate (TC) is issued.
4. Hostel Charges
- The hostel security deposit (caution money) is refundable at the time of departure, subject to deduction for any damages caused to hostel property.
- Monthly hostel charges are non-refundable for the month in which the student vacates.
- If a student vacates the hostel mid-year, fees for the remainder of the academic term will not be refunded unless approved by the Principal in writing on medical or exceptional grounds.
5. Examination & Other Fees
Fees paid for board examination registration (WBBSE/WBCHSE), unit tests, or special programmes are non-refundable once submitted to the respective board or authority, as these fees are passed directly to external bodies. Internal examination fees are non-refundable once the fee is collected.
6. Cancellation of Admission After Results
If a student is offered admission based on assessment results but subsequently cancels within 7 days of the offer letter, 50% of the tuition fee paid (if any) may be refunded after deduction of the admission fee and administrative costs. Cancellations after 7 days will not attract any refund.
7. Refund Process
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the school office, addressed to the Principal.
- Requests must include: student's name, class, admission number, reason for withdrawal/refund, bank account details for transfer.
- Eligible refunds will be processed within 15–30 working days of receiving the complete written request.
- Refunds will be made via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) to the parent/guardian's registered bank account.
- Cash refunds will not be made under any circumstances.
8. Force Majeure
In case of extraordinary circumstances beyond the school's control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government orders), fees paid may be adjusted against future terms at the school's discretion. The school will communicate any such adjustments in writing to parents within 30 days.
9. Amendments
PathBhaban reserves the right to amend this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. The updated policy will be published on this website and communicated to parents via notice board. Continued enrollment after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
